Experienced and SAFE – Qualified personnel and tested procedures
Mr Scaffold is starting to become a confined space expert, which is a speciality in itself.
Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is needed at almost all our sites, with this site having multiple forms needing to be created for the scaffolding jobs we provide.
We have a strict in house training & work health and safety policy for all our confined space jobs.
All our scaffolders at Mr Scaffold hold a confined space certificate.
Confined spaces are commonly found in vats, tanks, pits, pipes, ducts, flues, chimneys, silos, containers, pressure vessels, underground sewers, wet or dry wells, shafts, trenches, tunnels or other similar enclosed or partially enclosed structures.
Aluminium scaffolding is a great alternative to steel, with the light weight material, easy to perform difficult installations which normally take numerous man hours.
Riverstone Sewage Processing (treatment) Plant requested the expertise of Mr Scaffold to get access to their system tanks.
Riverstone STP is a tertiary treatment plant discharging to an inland waterway (Eastern Creek, a tributary of South Creek). The tertiary treatment includes additional phosphorus removal and disinfection.
Drop from a Cantilever then build from the ground up
The job was approximately 5m below ground level
The photos above, you can see a scaffold retrieval rig, whilst we were building this, we used a cantilevered state, using counter weights as a support.
Once we were in the tank, we then built everything from the ground, including a stair access and mobile scaffold.
Aluminium Scaffold specified for Australian Conditions
Due to Aluminium Scaffold not rusting, as steel does, the scaffold was able to be left in place for weeks, without having to worry about the weather, or the effect of this on the aluminium scaffold.
This is really where Aluminium comes into its own, rustproof & light weight.
